Hopewell Summer Camps are a place where thousands of youths’ lives have been changed through meeting God, having fun, and making life-changing friendships. All youth are welcome!
Founded by the Hopewell Network of Churches in 1985, Hopewell Summer Camps are overseen by a board which meets monthly to pray and discuss the needs of the camp. The board falls under the umbrella and authority of the Hopewell Network of Churches. Hopewell Summer Camps has never owned their own camp property, but has greatly enjoyed partnering with Tel Hai Camp and Retreat, who has hosted the camps for many years.
Currently the camps are led by Pastoral Director Michael “Guerty” Guertin. A graduate of Elim Bible Institute, Guerty has many years of experience both as a children’s pastor and itinerant minster. He has been directing the Hopewell Network Summer Camps since 1991. He is a gifted speaker, and also has a passion for bringing the Bible to life through drama. More than anything, however, he is driven by a love for the youth and Jesus. Guerty is joined by various assistant directors and worship leaders who assist him at each of the camps.
